With a history dating back to 1983, KGJ Price (Railway Contractors) Ltd has evolved from its roots in South Wales originally supporting the coal and steel industries into a nationwide provider of specialist railway services.
We bring decades of hands-on experience to the design, manufacturing, installation, and ongoing care of railway infrastructure. From industrial sidings and mainline networks to heritage and narrow-gauge railways, we support clients across a wide range of sectors with tailored, high-quality solutions.
Our teams are fully trained and certified to meet current Network Rail standards and any site-specific regulations required by our clients. Whether working on local infrastructure or overseas projects, we take pride in delivering safe, reliable, and efficient railway systems that stand the test of time.

Sustainability & Social Values
KGJ Price Railway Contractors demonstrates a deep commitment to environmental sustainability, embedding practical policies and standards throughout its business.
The company holds ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Certification and implements a formal Sustainability Policy that guides low‑carbon sourcing and resource conservation. Our practices include reducing carbon emissions year on year via energy efficiency measures, minimising water usage through improved technologies, and actively recycling waste generated both in offices and on-site. KGJ Price also works with its supply chain at the design stage to drive sustainability and low‑carbon solutions, and encourages workforce engagement via open sustainability forums and learning opportunities.
In addition to environmental efforts, KGJ Price Railway Contractors prioritise social value within local communities and the rail industry. The business adopts a “local-first” approach by sourcing labour, goods, and services within project regions to support economic growth and their compliance with broader industry frameworks, such as the UK Government’s Social Value Model and Network Rail’s Social Value Framework which ensure that the business can focus on priorities like training and apprenticeships, fair practices, inclusion, and community engagement by combining these principles with structured policies and certifications. The business upholds high standards of ethical, inclusive, and socially responsible operations across its rail infrastructure work.
